Rare OBLONG TEA CADDY OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE MoP FINIAL GEORGE III c1795 Dimensions: 135mm wide (5 ¼ inches); 100mm (4 inches) Hallmarks: Unmarked Condition: Good antique condition. Dings, dents, surface scratches and spots of tarnishing that will polish off - slightly larger dent to one side. Warm copper tones bleeding through. Lid closes ok, little lock bar is slightly wide of the slot but pops in when gently pushed. The nut and screw that hold the MoP finial in place are possibly replacements.
