Have nothing in your houses that you do not consider to be beautiful or useful. French Vintage Individual Coffee/Tea Pots & Sugar Bowl on Modernist Tray 1930's-40's. A set of two individual plunger style coffee/tea pots and a matching sugar bowl from the 1930's on a very elegant Modernist tray from the late 1940's. The small pots have individual filters and push-down plungers (Bodum style), with bakelite handles. Each one is 4 5/8 inches high and both are in very good condition, with minor traces of use.
One has a tiny scratch on the side and the other has a small dent that is hardly visible. Both are clean and ready for use. The matching sugar bowl is 3 ¾ inches at its widest points and stands 2 ¾ inches high.
It is in very good, clean condition. The tray is an exceptional piece created by Jean Couzon in the late 1940's, pieces which have become very collectable.
The company became known for its high-quality pieces and very Modernist designs. The marbled green handles are in bakelite, and the tray is polished steel with a brushed steel bottom to prevent slipping.
It measures 17 ¾ inches by 11 ¼ inches and the pattern is known as'Greco'. The tray is in exceptionally good condition with very few traces of surface use and is stamped'Jean Curzon' on the back. Vintage and antique objects have lived and been used and because of that, they sometimes show it.
