Have nothing in your houses that you do not consider to be beautiful or useful. French Art Deco 5- piece Coffee/Tea Service on Tray by Boulenger & Cie - Paris 1930. An exceptional silverplated five-piece coffee and tea service on its original tray, created by the Boulenger Company, founded in Paris in 1810 and carried through 4 generations until 1939. Boulenger was considered to be one of the top silversmiths in the 19. Century and specialized in very high-quality tableware. All of the pieces have been designed in an eight-panel styling, including the tray, with mahogany knobs and handles.

A lidded coffee pot which is 7 ¾ inches high. A lidded tea pot 5 ¾ inches high. A sugar bowl 4 3/8 inches high. A cream/milk jug that is 3 ½ inches high. A large original matching octagonal tray 16 ¾ inches wide without the handles and 19 ½ inches wide from the end of one handle to the other.

Matching trays are quite rare in these services. All interiors are very clean ready for use.

The exteriors have a few traces of surface wear and a few minuscule pinpricks. The tray's top side has minor signs of use and bottom side has more visible signs of wear, as most serving trays do. The set is solidly and beautifully crafted, with fine details on the handles and the coffee and tea pot hinges are solidly attached and work well. It weighs over 10 lbs in all.

A pair of art deco sugar tongs is included to complete the set. Complete Art Deco coffee services by Boulenger are rarely found as most of them are passed on as family heirlooms and this one is an exceptional and complete example. Vintage and antique objects have lived and been used and because of that, they sometimes show it. The condition of the object is described as accurately as possible, including its character flaws.
