The pot and the lid have a sterling silver edging. The little milk/cream jug is also lined in sterling silver, the exterior in copper and the handle in bronze.
There is a very small dent on the bottom, invisible when set on the tray. The stand is the resistance piece in bronze that is beautifully crafted with a Second Empire styling and the four feet are carefully polished to avoid possible scratching on the tray. It measures with the tea pot in place 11 inches high. The little burner has its original wick inside a screw-on cap and a little bronze leaf as a handle. The tray is sterling silver on the top and a copper underside. It measures 9 1/2 inches wide by 11 3/4 inches long and is in very good condition. The entire ensemble weighs almost 4 lbs and pieces are stamped'Paris' with a stylized crown and a listings of the metals used (in French). The sterling silver interiors are in excellent condition. It is a'one-of' set that was kept in a display case for decades. Vintage and antique objects have lived and been used and because of that, they sometimes show it. The condition of the object is described as accurately as possible, including its character flaws.
