The silver plated Christofle MARLY coffee & tea set adds refinement and elegance to any beverage service. Created in 1897, this model owes its name to the Château de Marly built near Paris by Louis XIV, a pleasure château now disappeared, in which he loved to receive his guests. Marly is one of Christofle's most decorated models; its asymmetrical vegetal decoration, typical of the "Rocaille" style - Louis XV - expresses the maker know-how and attention to detail and expresses the richness and refinement of a "French-style" table, while remaining very contemporary, due to the homage to the vegetal which constitutes its main ornament. Very nice vintage condition consistent with use and age.
