Antique Edwardian 3 piece silver plated tea set, sugar tongs and rosewood handle
Beautiful Edwardian silver plated three-piece coffee or tea service of baluster fluted form. The edges are trimmed with gadrooned borders and the milk jug and sugar bowl have applied acanthus leaf decoration. The teapot handle and finial are made of rosewood. Joined by a Victorian pair of sugar tongs, trimmed with scrolls in high relief. Coffee / teapot - 22.5 cm tall, 21 cm spout to handle, 11 cm wide. Sugar bowl - 8 cm tall to rim, 20.5 cm across handles, 10.5 cm wide. Milk jug / creamer - 9 cm tall to spout, 14.5 cm spout to handle, 7.5 cm wide.
Sugar nips - 10.5 cm. Great antique condition, no wear to silvering. Very shallow depression to one side of the coffeepot, almost imperceptible; small loss to the finial.
