Antique 19th C silver plated Tea Set 1899 Wedding gift C. H Swift Wadsley England

Silver plated tea pot with a creamer and a sugar basin. The tea pot has an inscription, we read. By the members of Wadsley Church Choir. On the occasion of their marriage. We found a 1899 marriage in the. Parish Wadsley of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Charles Henry Swift and Clara Harriet. The marks on the tea pot are: B & S inside an oval, and EP. The marks on the creamer and sugar basin are: HW Ltd - for Henry Wilkinson & Co. Ltd, and EPNS - this is the pre 1892 mark.

The tea pot's pattern differs from the other two items, so it seems to be a marriage / mixed set. Condition: used, silver layer nice, no bumps, very slight scratches. Ear of tea pot might have a restoration - or is quite rudley attached at the lower end, hinge fine, top knop a little loose and is maybe a replacement. Creamer and basin are looking very good, firm, no dents. Height of the tea pot: circa 17 cm / 6.7 inch.
