I offer the tray in a separate listing because although compatible, the tray and set were not created together. This listing is for the five pieces that match one another with oval medallion cartouche, ready for your monogram. The style is a pre-dates art deco, called "panelled" I believe, rectangular in shape with clipped corners. It lacks the motifs prevalent in the aesthetic period, displaying more traditional Victorian engraving. The condition is excellent, like it was possibly re-furbished in the 20th century.
It has not been my experience that sets like this are in such great condition unless they went off what I call the spa in London for a makeover. The interior of these pieces is very presentable. The insulators are I believe Bakelite, the earlier insulators were often made of wood, which loosened, cracked, and split over time. These insulators are quite secure, making the handles stable. I gave the coffee pot a little bit of a polish, but I was not thorough at all.
Please make your arrangements with me. I don't invent these things. After all, if it's broken, I sure don't want to sell it to someone else. That deal is unpredictable however. Choosing a shipper depends on weight, dimensions, AND where you are. If you are new or unaccustomed to purchasing vintage pieces or just want to ask what I mean by "flamingo pink", I will be glad to help you through the process. If you are chemically impaired, please shop in someone else's store.Do I really have to say this? Get your address and telephone number into the system correctly. Those of you who are still reading --- have a good time. If you see a correction I should make - tell me. I don't always get it right and promise I won't snap your head off.
